The U.S. Postal Service is the largest public enterprise in the U.S. It has more than 200 years of existence. With high gas prices and competition from e-mail and private package delivery companies, the USPS projects a net loss of $600 million for F.Y. 2008. Is it time to privatize the Post Office?
