For or against lowering the drinking age?

Should the drinking age be lowered? If so, what age?

All the debates about Society

Vote

  • no, the world would die if we did that... seriosly
  • Absolutely not. It is true that one is of legal age to vote, join the armed forces, and purchase lotto/cigarettes (potiental future addictions), all at eighteen years of age in this country. Physically even at age 18, a person is not fully developed, meaning that excessive alchohol could inhibit the final growth periods, this is in addition to emotional growth, decision making skills and maturity. The combination of drinking, and already inexperienced decision making skills could be lethal. The number of DUI incidents just might rise, though that is perky compared to the possible fatilaties. The thrill of 'underage' drinking should be limited to visitation to another country, or in the occational party in which someone 'scored'.
